Matters

Matters are the foundation for all work performed in LexisNexis® CounselLink™. They are used to track all records for a particular legal issue, including invoices, documents, budgets, key dates, and other information. Matters can be created for any contract, project, patent, or legal case.

Matters are the starting point for workflow. From the Matter Overview page, you can access general matter-related information, including notes, invoice details, documents, internal staff profiles, participant profiles, related matters, calendar events, and law firm profiles. You must be assigned to a matter before you can submit invoices to your client.
