LexisNexis CounselLink Release Notes (Law Firm) - Version 23.3.0

We are pleased to announce the CounselLink 23.3.0 release.

The CounselLink - Law Firm application includes updates to Task assignments, invoice rejection notifications on paper processing, and Tax Field ID requirements.

Updates

  • A Calendar option has been added to the Quick Search drop down on the top bar.

     

  • The Law Firm Tax ID field has been added to all pages where tax items are created. The field is required when applying taxes to an invoice or a Law Firm Office profile.

     

  • When assigning an internal task, users can now select if they'd like to assign the task to a Lead Attorney.

  •  

  • Invoices that are rejected by a client through paper processing will now send an email notification to the Accounts Payable contact and the user that submitted the invoice. Previously, email notifications were only sent when a paper processing invoice was rejected by rules.
  •  

  • A number of changes were made to improve diversity settings on profiles and the Diversity Survey:

    • On the Diversity Survey, LGBT has been changed to LGBTQ+, and Middle Eastern or North African has been added as an option in the Race drop down field.

    • Diversity fields are now hidden from the client's view of timekeeper profile within CounselLink. This includes race, gender, LGBTQ+, veteran, and disability status. This information is only accessible from client's reports.

    • When creating a new timekeeper profile, the Practicing Attorney option now defaults to 'Yes.'

CounselLink Resolved Issues

The following issues have been fixed in the CounselLink 23.3.0 release:

  • CL-168942 - LEDES upload was returning an error message due to an invalid stage structure for the matter's Fee Structure. Now, this upload scenario will proceed with a caution message to the user explaining the invoice will default to Stage 1.
